On 15 January 2020, a draft Act on promoting electricity generation in offshore wind farms was published on the website of the Government Centre for Legislation.
The Ministry of Energy began to work on the act in early 2019. The draft has been drawn up in collaboration with a group of social partners interested in investing in the renewable energy sector and will soon be subject to inter-ministerial and public consultations.
The Offshore Wind Energy Law is one of the most anticipated laws which aim to accelerate the development of the offshore wind sector in Poland.
